English and
maths in our Christmas show:
Maths:
- · Time frames when recording.
- · Mince pie challenge. We set a specific time to do the challenge in and a specific amount of mince pies in that time.
- · The number of people we have in each group (tech and producers). We need to have enough in each group to get things done separately.
- · The number of ideas came up with at the beginning of the making of the show when we did a group brain storm.
- · Votes to decide what will be included in the show.
- · Polls of what people like the most in class and outside of class to be used as statistics in the show (Favourite Quality Street).
- · Time keeping when traveling to and from location to film VT’s (CEX game shop in town).
- · Timing when changing camera angles and VT’s during the live show. (Vision mixer upstairs in the studio)
- · Splitting payments between team member when buying props/petrol etc.
- · Strategic/symmetrical placement of bows, tinsel and trees on the set.
- · Strategic placement of lights, cameras and props on set (set designers).
English:
- · When writing the scripts/proposals.
- · When making a plan at the beginning of the making of the show.
- · Good pronunciation and communication skills, otherwise the production wouldn’t run smoothly.
- · Contacting companies/charities that will be included in the show (Foodbank).
- · When discussing our progress and plans with our lecturers and production crew.
- · When updating our progress on Blogger (using good SPaG).
- · Emailing each other/ Facebook group chat to let everyone know what’s happening at what time and catching people up on what they’ve missed.
